Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut is an improved version of the game that will come to Playstation 4 and Playstation 5.
Just a week after rumors began to surface regarding a new version of Sucker Punch’s action-adventure game Ghost of Tsushima, Sony chose to confirm those rumors. Unveiled today on PlayStation, Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut is a new iteration of the popular 2020 release that is slated to hit PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. Best of all, it’s set to be released soon.
Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut announced for PS4 and PS5
The game is set to be released later this summer and will arrive in August 20th. This new iteration of the title comes with the base game and all the other pieces of additional content that were released for it last year.
In addition, a new expansion will also be included, taking players to a location known as Iki Island. This area will include new story content as well as new characters, armor, enemies, and minigames. Sucker Punch says he will talk more about Iki Island content at a future date to inform players more specifically about what it will include.
Perhaps the most notable thing about the director’s version of Ghost of Tsushima comes with the way it is being developed. Since many gamers can already own the base game on PS4, PlayStation is allowing existing owners to purchase this new version of Director’s Cut at a lower cost. Upgrading to this version will cost $19.99 on PS4 and $29.99 on PS5. And if you don’t have the basic game yet, the full version of Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut will cost $59.99 and $69.99, respectively. Local prices for Brazilians have yet to be revealed.
