In the past few hours, the launch date of Halo Infinite, that is, on December 8, 2021, the information was published by mistake on the Microsoft Store.
Shortly after the store has deleted the indication on the release date, Microsoft has not commented on what happened and we do not know if it is the official date or a gross error by those who manage the publications on the online store. We specify that this information is still only a rumor and we invite you to consider it as such until Microsoft makes official communications about it.
According to the source, December 8 will mark the launch of only the single-player campaign, for the multiplayer modes it will be necessary to wait until the first months of 2022.
The date indicated is quite likely, the day-one of Halo Infinite is expected within the end of the year and December seems like the perfect month for the official launch of the new FPS chapter. A few days ago the creative director of 343 Industries – the software house behind the development of Infinite – declared that he had thought of a further postponement of the game, and then retraced his steps reflecting on nature “Live Service” of the title, which “will continue to evolve from season to season”.
Recall that Halo Infinite should have been released during the last months of last year, appearing as the launch title of the Xbox Series X | S. After the publication of the first gameplay trailer and the harsh criticism raised by users, 343 and Microsoft have chosen to postpone the launch of the game for over 1 year, in order to fix the technical problems and offer a satisfying gaming experience.
