In Fallout 4, O jetpack it’s just one of the gear available to collect in-game. Also, it’s important to point out that acquiring and upgrading the items you already have is just as important as having powerful gear. Some of the game’s enhancements even provide a feeling of individuality to your experience with the Bethesda title.
Jetpack in Fallout 4 completely changes the dynamics of combat. You can use this item to jump under an enemy and defeat him from above or use it to reach high places that would otherwise be impossible to explore.
In this guide, you will know how to get a jetpack in Fallout 4 and how to use it as your power armour.
How to Get a Jetpack in Fallout 4?
There are two ways to get a jetpack in Fallout 4, and both require a lot of work and dedication. However, getting your hands on one of these modifications is totally worth it because of all the benefits a jetpack offers.
Build a Jetpack at a Power Armor Station
Go to a Power Armor Station and interact with it; you can find a Power Armor Station at the Red Rocket Truck Stop, which you find right after leaving Vault 111. Once there, you can create new upgrades for your power armor, including jetpacks. There is a specific part for you to upgrade with the jetpack: the Power Armor Torsos.
To make this craft, you will need some materials and also unlock some perks. The materials needed to create a jetpack even vary depending on the type of power armour you wear.
- For the T-45 Power Armor, you need 6 Aluminum, 4 Adhesives, 5 Asbestos and 7 Nuclear Materials.
- For the T-51 Power Armor, you need 9 Aluminum, 5 Adhesives, 6 Asbestos and 9 Nuclear Materials.
- For the T-60 Power Armor, you need 9 Aluminum, 5 Adhesives, 8 Asbestos and 10 Nuclear Materials.
- Finally, for the X-01 Power Armor, you need 10 Aluminum, 7 Adhesives, 9 Asbestos and 12 Nuclear Materials.
On the other hand, the advantages of upgrading your power armour with the jetpack are the same, regardless of the type of armour you wear. That said, you need to be rank 4 in Science and Armoreiro to craft jetpacks.
Finish the Main Plot with the Brotherhood of Steel
During the main storyline of Fallout 4, you’ll encounter four factions that you can join. The Brotherhood of Steel is one such faction, and it is known for collecting powerful equipment that most Wastelanders could only dream of obtaining.
To join the brotherhood, you’ll need to travel to the Cambridge Police Station and speak with Paladin Danse. It will allow you to join a quest, and after completing it, you will become a member of the party.
Next, you’ll have to progress further through the main storyline until you reach the final quest, and then you’ll have to choose the Brotherhood of Steel to destroy the Institute. After destroying the Institute, Elder Maxson will reward you with the jetpack modification for the T-60 Power Armor.
Importantly, you can only use this specific jetpack for the T-60 Power Armor, which may not be ideal if you prefer a different type of armor. You can install your new jetpack in a Power Armor Station, which you can find inside Prydwen or at many other locations across the Community.
