In addition to being necessary for the evolution of many popular Pokémon, Sinnoh Stones are very difficult resources to obtain. However, there are two more “reliable” ways to obtain this item: through PvP Battles (player vs. player) and Research Findings. Also, you can keep an eye on Community Day rewards to see if Sinnoh Stones will be among some of the rewards.

PvP Battles

It’s quite rare, but there is a small chance of getting Sinnoh Stones in Pokémon GO during PvP battles. Some players have reported receiving this item as a reward for victory and consolation for defeat.

Research Findings

Field Surveys are part of the Pokémon GO reward system. The menu can be called up by tapping the binoculars symbol in the lower right corner and sliding to the “Field” tab. There, you will be given simple tasks to complete. Completing all these tasks will earn you a stamp (only one stamp can be obtained per day), and when you get 7 stamps, you will achieve a “Research Discovery”.

Simple tasks yield rewards, but not Sinnoh Stones. But keep in mind that there is a chance this item can be obtained through a Research Discovery!

Community days

Once a month, there’s a Community Day in Pokémon GO where a Pokémon will be featured, and there’s a chance you’ll get that feature on those days. And on Community Day in February, Stones of Sinnoh were given to players as a guaranteed reward for fighting Team Leaders and other players.
