Huawei: not only Kirin in its future

At the end of July, Huawei announced the P50 series. Unlike its predecessors, the new range is not only limited to 4G, but also includes a SoC of Qualcomm. Now, according to a very reliable tipster, it looks like the company will use more chipsets from the American chipmaker in the future.

According to what was declared by Digital Chat Station, the giant of Ren Zhengfei seems to have had access to two other Qualcomm SoCs; we are talking about the Snapdragon 778G andSM8450 (aka Snapdragon 898).

Just like P50 series phones, phones that will use these chipsets too they will not have 5G connectivity. This is because the Chinese company has been limited by the numerous US sanctions. Unfortunately, the leaker does not mention which products of the brand will use these two SoCs.

Following the now interrupted smartphone release cycle of the Chinese tech giant, the LTE version of the Snapdragon 778G could power the alleged midrange series nearing its debut; we refer to the Nova 9 range of which so much is rumored on the web. On the other hand, the 4G variant of the new SM8450 could be present under the future Mate 50.

At the moment, we don’t have any solid evidence for these claims. However, since most of the rumors shared by Digital Chat Station have so far always been very precise and accurate, even the new details published by him on Weibo may actually be true.

Last but not least, the leaker also claims that Huawei it could also use MediaTek’s chipsets, even if at the moment the agreement between the two realities has yet to be finalized.
