The official website for the anime adaptation of Rifujin na Magonote’s novel Mushoku Tensei released the video on Monday.
The trailer shows several characters that will be appearing in this second cour of the first season of the series; and also includes the new song titled “Keishō no Uta” (Song of Succession) played by singer Yuiko Ōhara, who returns to this anime.
The second cour will premiere on October 3 and will be broadcast on the Tokyo MX, KBS Kyoto and BS11 networks; which were the same ones that broadcast the first cour that premiered on January 10. On the other hand, the cast of seiyuus will appear in a television special a week before, on September 26.
Originally, the premiere of this cour was scheduled for the month of July, during the anime summer season, but due to various circumstances, it was postponed. Mushoku Tensei’s story is described as follows:
The story follows a 34-year-old man who dies after trying to save another person from being hit by a car. Then he realizes that he has reincarnated in a magical world as Rudeus Greyrat and that his whole life has been reset because he has to start over as a baby.
With all the knowledge of his previous life and a great ability for magic, Rudeus quickly becomes a formidable warrior ready for adventures. Oh, and he’s still quite a pervert.
Manabu Okamoto (Gamers!) Is directing the series for Studio Bind. EGG FIRM is also involved in the production. Kazutaka Sugiyama (Animation Director at DARLING in the FRANXX) is in charge of character design. Additionally, Yuiko Ōhara produced, composed, wrote the scores and performed both the opening and end of the first song of the first season of the series.
